Does conventional say dividend stocks should be a "core" holding in a diversified portfolio?

You'll find that a lot of dividend funds such as DVY look like large value. The reason I say "a lot" is some also look like large blend or large growth depending on how they pick their dividend stocks.

Here's DVY

val_____gro
32__19___2 large
35___5___0 mid
_8___1___0 small

You can use the Morningstar Fund X-Ray to find out:

http://portfolio.morningstar.com/NewPort/Free/InstantXRayDEntry.aspx?fsection=leftspotlight1&dt=0.7055475

To get to it manually.
1. www.morningstar.com
2. select the funds tab
3. select Xray on the left side
