Does Vanguard waive fees if you have other accounts with them?

Good catch. The cut off is $50,000.

"Fee does not apply to funds with balances of $5,000 or more in an IRA, or if you have assets totaling $50,000 or more at Vanguard in any combination of accounts under your Social Security number (including IRAs, employer-sponsored retirement plans, brokerage accounts, annuities, and non-IRA accounts), or to Flagship and Voyager clients."

What we may want to do is set up a Future Roth subaccount with ING and put the money there until we are ready. We aren't up to that $50k cut off just yet. We've focused more on maxing out our 401k investing. This week we finally got all of our tax stuff so we planned to sit down and finish that up this weekend. That would be a good time to figure things out.
