Does your mom have cardiac issues?

She had a heart attack and a couple of stents put in about 15 years ago. She still has occasional attacks of angina.

You say "again." What was the cause last time?

She also has an almost non-existent thyroid and has been on meds for it for over 50 years. One of the symptoms that her meds need adjusting is a sudden weight gain of fluid.

She did see her Dr. yesterday and everything looks good. He suggested that the work she's been doing to move everything out of the guest room in anticipation of the kids moving in had a role in the fluid retention. She's going to take it easy over the next week or so and see if the weight goes down. If it doesn't, her doctor will look at readjusting her meds.
