Hi!
i'm hoping someone out there in this golden state can help me with a question re. DBA's. i am in a newly formed investment club and today ran into some problems at the bank re. opening an account (we have a tax id # already). They say we need to have a DBA - fine! So i went to the local paper - $10 filing fee PLUS a $130 fee to the paper for running it. YIKES! Is this a normal cost or is it just the Pasadena Star News yanking our chain? Any suggestions? Alternatives? Are we required to get a DBA?

Thanks -
Sarah
