don't forget you can deduct the cost from your taxes as an expense generated in tax prep (also the filing fee if you remember)

It's true that this can be a deduction, but it's not likely that many can take advantage of it. This is a miscellaneous deduction on Schedule A, and comes into play only if 1) you itemize deductions, and 2) this and other miscellaneous deductions exceed 2% of your adjusted gross income. For most people, that's a very big hurdle to overcome.
