Don't forget, you will own 17.8% more of a company that's $10B lighter. It might end up as a wash ;(

I'm in the same boat with you, though. And I'm hoping for $10B distribution, myself.

I would suspect all 10 will go through, and I'll tell you why: My dad is a retired Ford employee (factory worker). He has a lot of his retirement in Ford stock because that's the plan that was set up for him. He's not very investment-savvy, as I would suspect alot of people his age/background aren't. Anyway, he had no idea about this VEP, until I called him the other day to make sure he chose the stock option. (BTW he decided to take 30% of the cash).

If I hadn't called him he would have just been surprised with a huge check in the mail and half of his stock sold out from under him. SO I'm sure that there are a lot of other guys in his shoes without a son who also invested in F to give him a heads-up. (And were not talking abotg 250 shares here).
