Obama apparently has not leaned from Obamacare experience that the Republicans never negotiate in good faith.

The two key ingredients of this negotiation are taxes and the debt limit. Obama doesn't need to negotiate these with the Republicans.
there isn't a Republican in the country who has any respect for Obama. I don't need to go into the race/class issues playing out here.

Obama needs to put his primary offers on the table and then continue to negotiate with the American people. The only thing the Republicans ever care about are the polls.

If the American people don't support Obama the resulting agreement will be another nail in the coffin of the middle class. Obama needs to make sure the American people know that.
