Ah, my sad history, sort of, with DSCO.

Which raises the daunting question of if and when to buy and sell biotechs.

I bought and sold in 2001, made a little money. This was on the promise of Surfaxin. Nothing much happened.

Bought and sold in 2003. Made a little money. Still on promise of Surfaxin. Nothing much happened--though the stock's price was a couple of bucks higher than it is now--even after approval. (Nothing to this, though, this often happens).

9-11 years later the cmpd gets the ok--after four tries--and the stock doesn't do much.

One problem is that the addressable mkt isn't really that big--as these things go, so there is that.

I guess the best bet is to await approval and commercialization in big markets. This reduces the biggest potential gains but prevents catastrophic failures...
