I'm sure you've already thought of this and have had it checked out, but just wanted to throw it out there anyway: Have you had Duckling #2's hearing checked ... especially his auditory discrimination (or his ability to discriminate between sounds)? I'm not talking about having a pediatrician check it out; they're good people and are good with colds and such, but they don't specialize in hearing. I'm talking about taking him to an otolaryngologist (AKA, ENT doctor).

Schools can only go so far in evaluating your child, too, especially if it's something that's not glaringly obvious.

Taking him to an ENT can't hurt. Just a thought.
