I know, it's an incredibly simple question compared to all the great stuff in this forum. But believe it or not, I've never heard anybody explain what a tax bracket is, or how I know which one I'm in. Ultimately, if you can fill out forms correctly and send the money, nobody cares if you know anything about what you are doing. Sort of like knowing how to drive but not having a clue what a cam shaft is or does. So, would some kind soul fill me in?
