Dw has a recipe for chocolate fudge cake - a heavenly dessert in andof itself. If one modifies the recipe a tad and adds a layer of cherryand a layer of vanilla creame icing before adding the final layer ofmelted chocolate -------- oh, I don't wish to think on this too much.If you'd like the recipe for the chocolate fudge cake, I can probably dig it out - but the modifications are a spir of the moment thing. But, my grandmother passed on a recipe for a peach cake that is to die for - and peaches are just coming into season in the south.Howie52The recipes will take a day or two to find - if there is interest.Hi Howie52,You are making me hungry! <G> I'd be interested in the recipes if you have time. I don't think I've ever had peach cake before. I love peaches - one of my favorie pie recipes is an open cream peach pie. Strangest pie I ever made. You put a regular pie crust in the pie plate, than press onto the sides and bottom of the crust a mixture (if memory serves me correctly) of flour, sugar, cornstarch, salt, put fresh peach slices on top, add some more of the mixture, then pour cream over the top and bake. Definitely not low cal, but wow is it good. Dang - now I'm gonna have to go look up that recipe and make it this weekend. <G>Cheryl
