I'm 27. IF I accumulate $1 million in assets at 40, I want to retire. I want to live off of $80,000/year in investment income. Is it possible? I'm figuring on 10% returns including inflation. Of course the $ figures are present value, so I'll need about $1.5 million 13 years from now.

Or to turn the question around, if I want to live on $80,000/year (present value) of investment income, how much capital do I need? How would you invest?
