Im looking for a 'deeply discounted' online broker which handles Education IRAs. Deeply discounted in my book is in the $7 to $10 per trade range with no yearly fees. I know that Etrade handles EIRAs, but at 14.95 per trade, even if I only trade once a year, purchasing the entire $500 limit/yr imposed on EIRAs in a single trade, my overhead hit is close to 3%. Help.

Can you set up DRP accounts to fund Education IRAs?

Although it sounds like you may already have a handle on this, please be aware of set up fees and close out fees imposed by many discount brokers on IRA's. These can be quite onerous when dealing with the $500 limit on Ed IRA's. Not an easy task to find everthing in one package.

As I posted yesterday, SureTrade at $7.95 for market trades, $9.95 for limit trades. I'm not terribly excited about their service etc., but they are adequate and cheap.
