even if the NAV temporarily fluctuates from $1.00 (e.g. due to bond defaults)I should have written "due to interest rate movements", since this is a temporary fluctuation because in less than a year the bonds will mature.A bond default is a permanent NAV change, and I believe money markets are allowed to use income from other bonds to make up NAV in the event of a default.
