Everbank has been advertising a Marketsafe CDs which is invested in commodities.

There is FDIC insurance on it, so it has capital preservation. The rate is not guaranteed. If the commodities perform, the return should be much better than the 0.2% you are getting now. Worst case is zero return which is not all that different from 0%.

However, the CD term is 5 years, with no possibility of early withdrawal, so that may not suit you.

I haven't invested in this yet but am considering it.
