Every year or two in Chicago we'd have a summer heat wave and Comm Edison would do rolling brownouts. These would last 2-3 weeks. (I remember checking my smart thermostat once, and it reported that the A/C had not shut off for 2 weeks straight.)

Speaking of AC, what happens to the range of an electric car if you have the AC on, which in many places, is all the time? What do car electronics, heating, seat heating, and headlights do to the range of electric cars? Is the range quoted an optimum, or is is in real world conditions? Does driving style, fast acceleration, stop and go, and all that have an effect? I have heard that autopilot is a battery killer, it uses up too much juice and cuts range way down.
