Except in extreme cases, many hours of Excel analysis on my part shows the retirement account will always beat the taxable account.one of those cases which I find is interesting is that I can assumemore risk in my taxable account. One can't trade options in any 401k's I am aware of, and only limited trades in an IRA.If you are an agressive trader you might do best in a taxable account, since you can outperform all other asset classes. However you must be very risk tolerant0xF00L
