Everyone's talking about them. $2 trillion over a gazillion years, a few mil here and there. Nobody's brave enough to really give a list. Sure, you can tweak the retirement age to 80, save some money there after ten years.

But just remember, nobody has ever mentioned doing away with either the SS or Medicare tax. No sir, that's 40% of our revenue. (we use it for other things).

The bloated defense budget is, well bloated. The party of cuts won;t touch it, and wants more. In fact, that's what most of the screaming is about. Even suggesting that the rate of expense Growth be cut is a no no.

Alas, it's all about Defense, Social Security and Medicare. Add all of them up, and the remainder is about $400 billion.

My suggestion. Nobody's going to give them up, they work. We need to tweak them again, and not let Congress touch the funds. No more IOU's.

Defense? Get real. It's massive. A lobbyist's dream.

Also, getting real does mean taking a serious look at the 10% left after those are looked at. Something Obama promised he'd do, line by line. (4 years ago.)
