Hey all,

I have an iMac 27 and want to hook up a second monitor. Due to my space/desk size, I'd need to position it vertical..so whatever model needs to be able to rotate 90 degrees (maybe all of them do)... Cost and desk size will probably prevent me from getting an apple 27 inch monitor....

Will be used in photo correction and some video editing as well as general use...email, surfing, etc

Will I get a better picture/connection getting an HDMI monitor vs dvi, or is there a difference?

What is the adapter that is used to connect iMac to HDMI? I know there is a mini display to dvi adaptor, but is there a mini display to HDMI?

What am I looking for in contrast ratios and refresh rates, etc...

I'm sure I'll have other questions, but before I look at options from best buy or tiger direct, I thought I'd ask for recs here.

Many thanks

Mick
