EZ-Off, apparently, "ate" the sealant around the drain of the sink in which I sprayed cast iron pieces. I removed and cleaned the drain parts and will reassemble the drain, with new seals, tomorrow. I caught the leak before much water damage to the cabinet, but will probably steel wool the cabinet base and apply some tung oil to the cabinet base.

I would like to use something other than the sink to clean iron with lye, going forward. What container material would work well, at a reasonable cost?

Thanks,
Bob
