f allowing tax cuts to expire is the same thing as raising taxes, and if my deductions are more than my tax liability, then shouldn't taking away deductions be considered raising taxes? __________________________________Huh?Well, because letting tax cuts expire means you pay more taxes tomorrowTaking away deductions at the same time that you lower rates so that you pay the same amount tomorrow is not.Will you be able to find some exception somewhere to what is the the overwhelming intent and effect? You can ALWAYS do that, and it is a really dumb way to argue a case IMO
