So, I've been working on the family tree, and I think I need better software. I've been using Sierra's Easy Tree which came with a whole bunch of data discs I got for my Dad several years ago. It's performed OK, but I run into trouble when I need to update info. For example, When I find out cousin so-and-so's Dad is really John, not Tom, correcting that is a PITA, particularly if cousin so-and-so has sibs whose father IS Tom, and we end up with multiple listings for one person. Trying to track down and eliminate these multiple listings is a PITA, and I think I have a number of orphan listings as a result, which I'd like to clean out.

So, since this topic hasn't been hashed out in a year (that I can find), what do you recommend, with ease of editing in mind, and does anyone know a good solution to clean up my mess in Easy Tree?

Thanks
Kaiti
