My wife and I have an A-B revocable family trust. If at the time of the first death the Government hasraised the taxable amount above the value of the estate or has eliminated the estate tax, (ha!),is it still necessary to divide the estate and fund both portions? If not legally necessary would there still be any advantage to do so.
