While I was waiting for my CPK take-out to be ready at the mall last weekend, I wandered over to nearby Gamestop and picked this up for $10.

The game looks great, there's a lot to see, and combat is fairly interesting given that you have a variety of ways to approach it.

The thing that really kills the game is the amount of driving around you have to do. It's not just the driving, but the need to fight your way through various checkpoints ... constantly. If a checkpoint would stay cleared this wouldn't be so bad, but the enemies re-spawn pretty quickly and there's really no reward for killing them multiple times - i.e. no experience, no money. So it just becomes a tedious annoyance. I tried just driving through them, but they chase you and it's difficult to outrun them, so you still end up doing some fighting.

I'm trying to hard to like this game, but not sure I'm going to be able to stick with it all the way through.
