Fellow Fools,
Thank you for all of your help. I have been pouring over the information available on the TSP website, and my brain is now a pretzel. Clearly, the tax defferment and low overhead of the TSP make it the most worthwhile option. I wish that I qualified for the matching funds, but from what I gathered on the website that is not yet available for uniformed service members. Based on my current duty assignment, I do not get additional tax free monies, but that is a small price to pay for being home again! I really, really wish that I had begun investing ten years ago, but that is water under the bridge! I would like to particularly thand Helen and CalimanDC, you guys are pals. Let me know if you want to talk about small cap growth stocks sometime, I have a small portfolio that I am trying to build up intelligently that is not specifically for retirement.
Warmest Regards,
