Hi everyone,

I just wanted to get some advice on what FICO scores really mean. I recall a couple years back that my FICO scores for 2 of the 3 credit agencies were around 700 (I'm not sure which 2 exactly, though I would guess Equifax and Experian). I am 24yo, have a full-time job, a leased car, and 3 credit cards (1 of which has a balance and is active and 1 of which has a balance but the bank went under so it is just now a matter of paying it off, the 3rd has no balance).

Is 700 a good score, decent, alright? I have almost 9 years of credit history (I got my first CC back in May 1994). Is this good for someone my age? Is there a point at which it can't get any better? I know 850 is tops, but is, say, anything over 750 considered perfect?

P.S. - The letter to the doctor re: the colllection goes out this weekend. Wish me luck!
