Experienced investors opinions wanted ...
I opened my IRA account in Oct '03 for buying/selling stock for the purpose of increasing the balance. I would like to get your ideas on the
below TWO trades done recently on my account.

Here are the numbers:

TRADE # 1
BOUGHT: ZXC company:
Shrs / Price Date Trade Amount Comm Fee(s) Net Amount
2500/$2.09 sh 10/28/03 5,225.00 329.65 4.00 5,558.65
2000/$2.69 sh 11/21/03 5,380.00 140.00 4.00 5,524.00

SOLD: ZXC company:
Shrs / Price Date Trade Amount Comm Fee(s) Net Amount
4500/$3.20 sh 12/05/03 14,400.00 315.00 4.68 14,080.32

Held 2500 of the shrs from Oct 28 - Dec 5
Held 2000 of the shrs from Nov 21 - Dec 5

Is this a good profit considering the amount of commission/fees charged VS the amount used to purchase the shares ?

TRADE # 2
BOUGHT: QWE company:
Shrs / Price Date Trade Amount Comm Fee(s) Net Amount
2000/$2.50 sh 12/09/03 5,000.00 140.00 4.00 5,144.00

SOLD: QWE company:
2000/$2.98 sh 01/13/04 5,960.00 140.00 4.28 5,815.72

Held 2000 shrs from Dec 9 - Jan 13 (34 days)
same question applies:
Is this a good profit considering the amount of commission/fees charged VS the amount used to purchase the shares ?

My IRA account has grown since I opened it(have not added any money to it) back in October '03.

comments, observations ?

Thanks
Nubian
