To the Foolish community:
For 10+ years I've studied investing books, web sites, etc. and developed a very confident, brash attitude of "If I ever had $xxxx to invest, I'd definitely put it here (or there)."
Having recently actually inherited a substantial amount of money that I must now invest for my own retirement, I find it very amusing to see how carefully I'm researching and picking my stocks. Where did all my boldness disappear to?
Hopefully it's been replaced by a lot of Foolishness; good, solid advice from many, many Fools who also have carefully researched the Market before investing their own hard-earned dollars for their own retirements.
I've learned a lot about stocks and overall investing from several years of exposure to The Motley Fool website and bulletin boards, and I thank you all for the many lessons. Hopefully, all our individual stock choices and strategies will be successful, and if some are not, may we learn from each lesson and Fool On!
