My first tax return of the season was completed yesterday afternoon. That's the earliest one since I started doing taxes. Okay, it's in the queue to be efiled on 1/14/11, but I've done my part.

I cannot file this early. I have received none of my 1099s, for example. And one thing I wish I could get a 1099 for, but the country wnere the payment originates is prohibitied by their law from providing one. Actually, they do not even need to know what a 1099 is. But a nuisance to me because I must annually request a statement from them telling what proportion of the money is interest and what is return of principle.

Sounds like a pain to deal with. This young couple had a single W2 that they were able to access online. They know they won't receive their refund until the end of the month since I can't efile yet, but were also happy to have that task out of the way.

Gee, I don't even have all my organizers printed and mailed.

I guess they were not itemizing their deductions.
