Fleg, but please keep your nose out of our politics now that you have movedI had nothing to do with CA's ranking as worst state in which to do business. Or 48th in education. Those are the result of, in no particular order:1) too many public employees with vast pension and health-care obligations siphoning money from needed services2) high taxes3) strangling regulation, promising to strangle even more with CARB4) high energy prices, promising to go much, much higher with CARB5) the costs of illegal immigration6) the costs of the War on Drugs, resulting in a large prison population of non-violent offenders, exacerbated by the highest prison costs in the country thanks to the millions Gov. Brown received in prior terms from prison guard unions, for which he jacked up their compensation and benefits to unsustainable levelsItems 1, 2, 3 and 4 are entirely due to your beloved Democrats. Item 5 is a federal concern which has been sadly mismanaged. Item 6 is a mix of state-federal responsibility. If you don't think your beloved Democrats could be responsible for such a mess, see other states and cities run for decades by liberal Democrats. Illinois is neck and neck with California in the race to the bottom. They and Detroit come immediately to mind. And pre-Giuliani NYC.--fleg
