Michael Dunn was involved in a dispute about loud music with a group of kids in their car. The loud music was coming from inside the car where the teens were sitting.

Mr. Dunn said he felt “threatened” by the teens. He pulled out a gun and fired eight times into the car of teens.
One of the teens was dead instantly by two rounds into his body.

conservative groups and gun advocates, say that it is legal to use deadly force without the obligation to retreat first if a person feels their life is in danger.

"He is devastated and horrified by the death of the teen." “He is not a ‘vigilante’ and instead shot Davis out of ‘self defense.’”
Dunn's attorney.

There were no weapons found by police in the car of the teen. The Teens never got out of the car or physically approached Mr. Dunn.

Experts in Florida say with the current laws in that state Mr.s Dunn should probably not be convinced of any crime.
