There is an AMEX security that I am considering trading, but it wouldn’t come up as available for trading either as a window tradable security or as one individually tradable outside of window trading. Seeing that their website says that AMEX securities are available for individual trading, and thinking I was doing something wrong (having never before traded outside a window transaction), I called FolioFN for more information. The representative was a little perplexed as well. After some consultation, the representative told me that they would make the security available through window trading as a Tier 2 security starting tomorrow morning. He said that this is their policy when they get such a request from a customer.
