For some people, as soon as a car is paid off, that signals that it's time to shop for a new one. If that's you & it would make you head to the dealer for a new one sooner "just because" that would be something to consider.

If the 5% gain would be taxed, you'd come out with <4.8% so it might make more sense to pay off the loan early.
