See WSJ, 9/28 D1. "Lifetime Income: New Breed of Annuity Aims to Fatten Your Nest Egg - for a Fee.

The annuity discussed, AXA Accumulator, is the one I have mentioned on this board before that gives either a 6% income or an equal increase in income base for future withdrawals or annuitization.

Good article with some pros and cons. My only gripe about the AXA product is, even though it has over 60 subaccounts (one of the highest in the industry), it does not have as good subaccounts as Hartford or ING (ING has a similiar income rider but it is set at 5% but lasts until 90 as opposed to 85 with AXA).
