Fortunately the last name for all of these Johns is not that common - though it is easy to (and commonly) misspelled. So far I'm focusing a little closer in on generations - going back seriously only to about the early- to mid-1800s - but when I get motivated to go back a touch farther it'll get interesting.

Incidentally - initials also stink. I'm like 85% sure that the C.T. that I'm looking at records for is the same person as Charles Thomas that is in my tree ... but struggling to bridge that last 15%. Maybe I'll never get to, and that's OK.

(Also P.W. for Payton Wesley - though I'm more like 98% sure on that on.)
