Hello to headachers, and my condolences. I've had migraines for 38 years. Neurologists just want me to go away, because my headaches are so resilient. But, wanted to share this with anyone who's really losing hope. After a trip to the ER once, an attending physician recommended I change doctors. I think herein lay the jewel. If you're feeling as though your doc isn't helping you, she probably has stopped listening. I tried the new doc who DID pay attention. She got me right into physical therapy, and referred me to a pain management doctor. He is helping me file for disability.
If anyone is genuininely debilitated by frequent headaches so much so that he or she can't hold a job, please know that migraine is finally being taken seriously. Also, try a pain management doctor. Mine is such a patient's rights advocate!
Best to all,
Val
