Has Fribble Season Closed?

The 21 November 2001 was the date that the last Fribble was published and it was a rerun of a classic. The noble Fribble has become scarcer and scarcer. Once it could be seen daily, then weekly; followed by reruns and not it appears to have disappeared completely. The Fribble was once plentiful, then endanger and now it appears that it might be extinct.

Why is the Fribble Endangered?

One does not need a degree in Internet Biology to see that the Fribble is threaten by a lack of range as it is being confined to a small segment of The Motley Fool community. The lack of food in the form of recs is also making it hard to survive. Birthing is also a problem since timing is critical. Fribbles that are not delivered in time, simply fail to thrive.

Protecting the Fribble

We need to broaden the range of the Fribble by posting them on the appropriate message boards. The Improve the Fool board should be able to provide a home for many a Fribble. This will not only increase their range but will also ensure that they are delivered promptly to the community were they can be enjoyed. Once posted on a board, the Fribble can feed on the recs put down by the Fools that come by to enjoy them. Feeding the better Fribbles will ensure the quality of the herd for generations to come as every Fribblist thrives on the knowledge that their work is being appreciated by others..

Tagging the Fribble

No protection program can be complete without some form of tagging to monitor the progress of the program. Therefore, Fribbles should be indicated with the word Fribble in the subject line (ie. a subject line should look something like, "Fribble: [insert the title of the fribble here]"). This will make it easier for Fribble readers to spot these noble creatures of literature.

The Return of The Fribble

In time the Fribble will regain its former glory with trophy Fribbles of over a ton (100+ recs) being spotted on the boards regularly. The Motley Fool will then be able to open the Fribble season all year round.
