Without all of those law school loans! :-) Seriously though, I can really understand where you are coming from and have been guilty of working too much without paying attention to what is important. However, now that I am being paid hourly (also a contractor), the extra hours do help our bottom line unlike when I was salaried.

Right now I just feel like I'm bailing out a canoe with a spoon.

At least you have made the decision to bail out the canoe and not just sink. There is a lot to be said for that!
