I was surprised and sort of delighted to find this note in with my bill
this morning:

"If you think there is a faulty streetlight in your neighborhood , or you
have a pet that avoids a streetlight, please report it immediately to our
streetlight service reps at ... "

So, I guess the picture is that if someone calls in and says, "Hello --
just calling to let you know that my German Shepherd won't walk past the
middle of the block on this side of that street under the streetlight" then
they'll send someone out to address the problem!

I just thought that was lovely.

:)

((recently saw something about someone training dogs to sniff out and
respond to cancer in people LONG before there are any repercussions felt
by the host. Sounds like these dogs may end up running the world!))
