From what I know, inflation is caused by rising commodity prices. As oil, wood, copper, soy go up in price, the costs of doing business go up - thus prices go up to ensure a profit for companies. Commodities are a great hedge for bear markets in stocks.

Do you know if DBC is the only way to invest "stock-wise" in commodities. I know you can also buy CBOT and CME.
