Fuskie, <<I don't get the logic that just because you love what you are doing, you don't risk failure impacting your ability to continue doing it.>>I could write a lot about this, but I'd end up repeating myself too much in terms of other posts I've written in this forum. Let me just say that generally speaking I think paying an actor isn't just paying an actor, it's paying an actor and a manager and an agent and a publicist and trust funds for the actor's family and the mortgage for the fourth mansion, etc., which is the problem for shareholders. I too don't begrudge Johnny Depp making millions off Disney -- Disney allows it, so he and his entourage should get whatever they can. (You do have to admit it's funny, though, that Disney deemed it too expensive to pay a quarterly dividend when one thinks about what Depp, Iger and others make). At any rate, I happen to be a hobbyist screenwriter, so please wish me luck in winning the submissions lottery one day and selling a script for multiple millions of dollars with all kinds of first-dollar and backend participation attached (in fact, I'm going to write a query letter right now).
