For those investors looking for an alternative to High Tech, Bio Tech, Internet, or other growth related businesses, take a strong look at Barnes.

This company has been around since the early 1900's. More importantly, in the last decade, they have gone through a significant transition from a President focused purely on internal discipline and profitability, to a new president focused on growing sales through matching acquisitions.

The most recent quarter shows the results of these efforts, as both revenues and income have significantly increased. This company has an extremely conservative and strong balance sheet.

In the last two years, the stock price has been significantly cut, due to lack of growth prospects, and the termination of the old president.

However, now that the markets are rethinking the values of other riskier prospects, this company seems to be an unknown safe harbor, that in reality could generate significant future value.
