hello folks,
i recently sent an email to dominion resources, inquiring about their stock, if management holds a large amount of stock in the company, and if they plan on splitting at all. i figured it was worth a shot, and that i would get a form letter, and this is what i recieved:

Date: 1/8/2002 2:45:13 PM Eastern Standard Time

Thanks for your question. Management has stated that we would not see a
split until the stock was trading in the $80.00 range.

personally, i like this as a defensive stock. in their shareholder report, they stated that their goal is to "achieve 15% or better compounded gains annually for shareholders." (i have a dominion DRIP) check their 10 year chart, looks pretty nice. it also gives a nice dividend. a split in the $80's is probably 3 years away, but i feel this is an extremely safe bet to make.
