Hello RVing Fools.

I am not currently an RVer, but hope to be in about 5 years.

DW and I were actually talking about this tonight. First of all, she is a teacher, and I am an architect. We have two young children, with two more on the way. Our dream is once the youngest are old enough to enjoy and remember vacations, to take long trips. We figure we will do this by means of an RV. We want to take 4-6 week trips in the summertimes. I am hopefully going to pursue a teaching credential, so we both will be able to have summers off in order to do this. Sure, the money won't be as great, but my belief is that our quality of life will far outweigh what money can buy.

We had always imagined starting out with something like a pop-up trailer. But that was before we knew we'd have four kids. I think with a family of this size, we my need to go right into a full size RV. The only problem with this is it will probably set us back a few years.

Anyways, I will continue to lurk on this board, and dream of our future through all of your posts! Keep up the good work! I look forward to learning from you

...who still enjoys tent camping immensely
