I'm going by Vanguard's "Understanding the new RMD rules" which says to use the MDIB table "unless the sole primary beneficiary is a spouse who is more than ten years younger than the IRA owner". The MDIB provides the lower withdrawal amounts for an IRA owner whose spouse is less than ten years younger. Regards, gopete
