Yes and no.Risky? Not really, except that you'll be leaving a lot of money on the table.Good ideas? No. Neither of them. They are *attractive* ideas, but the hard-to-see shortcomings of these ideas are ugly.The benefit of the cash reserve thing -- is essentislly a mirage.The dividend thing --- you'll probably get a lot of replies that talk about "dividend champions", etc.Larry Swedroe has written a few articles that convinced me that focussing on dividends is a bad idea.
