I have opened a cash account with Ameritrade for $500.
I do not have any idea where to start.I want to get
into and index but that's atleast $1000 to get started.
Would direct stock purchase plans be a good place to start? I want to get into the index's for the long term
and then play in stock's.HELP with any suggestion's if
you can.I guess what I mean is how and where would be
a good starting point me .
I am 36 and just getting started (I have a 401k) but
no saving's.I need the long term but would like to invest in mid-cap's (I think) to try and make up some ground for the 10 year's I have lost in investing and
saving's.
