SD: I apprecaite the details on the trust, but wanted to say that you should feel free to not post details on that if you and DW are not comfortable with that kind of discussion/exposure on this board.

I think the basic point here from us posters is that all options and resources need to be considered, and you need to be asking the kind of hard questions of the trustees that you have been. You really are making a great start. You can't do it all at once, and it sounds like you are understanding the critical nature of this. Keep asking the hard questions, find a way to track ALL expenses, and support DW in getting on board with this.

Along that line, I would question if carpets even need to be steam cleaned. This is the kind of thing that could be deferred until later when/if you can afford it. I only steam cleaned mine when I moved in to my house, and just vaccumed it from then on...

Tough call on the level of detail. I just wanted the best help / advise and found that these things in my case can not be isolated to math in one area of my life without dealing with all the variables. I think the level of help I have got through posts and off-line e-mail have proven it is worth it (hope I do no regret that later).

1000% agree on the carpets. I lean more and more toward this being mostly mental and the math part being rather small.

thanks
