Here's a link to a reply I did on another thread regarding Milky Spore. I think it may help with some of your questions.

Please note, with Milky Spore, you DO NOT HAVE TO RE-APPLY IT EACH YEAR. Once, or maybe a second application in a couple of years and that bacteriological will stay alive in your soil just WAITING for Mr. Grubb to come along. (HEHEHEHEHE!) When a grub dies because of the Milky Spore, it releases still more Milky Spore into your soil, perpetuating the effectiveness for a long, long time.


PS, I am not totally convinced that MS kills only Jap Beetle grubs. I saw a distinct decrease in bean beetles and potatoe beetles when my property was treated with MS. Do these creatures morph in the soil, or above ground on plants? I dunno, I'm not an entemologist.
