Go ahead and laugh, folks, but those people who DO lose their jobs (and there will be many, for whatever reason) won't be laughing. Too bad some of you can't suffer with them.

My real concern is over the obvious inability of elected officials (president, congress, whoever), of any party, to get past their own selfish "re-elect me to..." concerns and deal with our nation's real problems -- and we have many. THAT scares me.

I also wish more of you (and countless others not even here) could somehow drop all the ridiculous finger-pointing at X, Y or Z because they are in the wrong "party" from your viewpoint.

But it was always thus, and will continue to be that way, I suppose.
